The City of Kwinana is providing a subsidy for residents and business of up to $350 or $500 for concession card holders off the cost of new closed circuit television (CCTV) installations in the City that include a public angle field of view overlooking the road, footpath, front verge, or any other applicable public area.
This is a voluntary, opt in program for people who meet the terms and conditions of the program.
Closed circuit television (CCTV) can deter potential offenders from criminal activity and help with the detection, investigation, and prosecution of offenders.
The City of Kwinana has developed a subsidy program aimed at increasing the number of CCTV systems in strategic locations within the City. The subsidy aims to empower local residents and business owners to take ownership of their street and actively contribute to reducing crime.
Rebate applications will be limited to one per household.
Before installation or upgrade of your CCTV system, please review the Terms and Conditions to verify that the desired setup will be eligible for the rebate.
To qualify for the subsidy:
- The security item(s) must be installed and invoiced no earlier than the 1 January 2025
- An application for the CCTV Security Subsidy has not been submitted in the last 2 years for the household
Please be advised that once all of the funds have been exhausted, applications can no longer be accepted for this City of Kwinana scheme. The City of Kwinana provides no guarantee that a rebate can be provided to all applicants.
Applications may take approximately six weeks to be processed.
If the installation of your chosen security item/s is dependent on the approval of the rebate, please ensure you read the instructions carefully.
The item/s you install must be a home security product. Please call the City on 9439 0258 if you are uncertain if your security feature complies.
