The City of Kwinana is providing a grant for business of up to $750 for the cost of new closed/open circuit television (CCTV) installations in the City that include a public angle field of view overlooking the road, footpath, front verge, or any other applicable public area that improves the overall security of the business.
Closed/open circuit television (CCTV) can deter potential offenders from criminal activity and help with the detection, investigation, and prosecution of offenders.
The City of Kwinana Business Support Grant is aimed at increasing the number of CCTV systems in strategic locations within the City. The grant aims to empower local business owners to take ownership of their street and actively contribute to reducing crime.
Grant applications will be limited to one per business/ABN holder.
Before installation or upgrade of your CCTV system, please review the Terms and Conditions to verify that the desired setup will be eligible for the grant.
To qualify for the grant:
- Must have a registered ABN
- Quote for CCTV and proposed work to be carried out (instillation and purchase of system)
Please be advised once the application period of 4 weeks has been exhausted applications can no longer be accepted for this grant. The City of Kwinana provides no guarantee that any application will be successful.
Applications may take approximately six weeks to be processed.
If the installation of your chosen security item/s is dependent on the approval of the grant, please ensure you read the instructions carefully.
The item/s you install must be a CCTV system. Please call the City on 9439 0438 if you are uncertain if your security feature complies.
